Proper pub grub

Woodies Craft Ale House Leeds

The starting point of the infamous Otley Run, Woodies Craft Ale House is situated on Otley Road directly opposite St Chads Church/Cricket ground.

Considered a ‘proper local’ by many citizens in Headingley, Woodies shows live sports on several large sized televisions, has numerous fruit machines and even its own beer garden for when the sun is out…or most often not.

With a vibrant and friendly atmosphere, you’ll more than likely see plenty of students in here dressed up with their mates doing the Otley run.

Not only offering fine ales and other alcoholic beverages, Woodies has a vast and delicious food menu that simply cannot be missed. Maybe you want to go off-piece and sample one of their classic falafel burgers? Or do you fancy the authentic steak and ale pie with peas and gravy? Maybe even fish and chips on a Friday evening? Woodies has you covered. The pub also has its own ‘Lunch Club’ menu, which includes open sandwiches ranging from philly steak to hunter’s chicken.

And not to forget, a pleasant desert menu, featuring Eton Mess, Chocolate Fudge Cake, Apple Crumble, Ice Cream and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
