A new contender in the food vendor business, Slap and Pickle recently opened in Trinity Kitchen after competing for a place and winning their venue. Catering for not only for gluten intolerance, but they also recently introduced a new veggie option which has proved someone popular in the vegan community. The Cats Pyjamas – Headingley / Leeds City Centre
Open a few years now, the Cats Pyjamas has two restaurants in Leeds that celebrate the culture of Indian street food, made specifically to your requirements. They provide dishes for those with wheat intolerances specifically, so there is no need to look far and wide if you fancy some wheat free Indian food. From the most spicy curries to the mild coconut ones, this is a restaurant not to be missed; and perfect to take either yourself or friends/family with intolerances.
Café Moor – Kirkgate Markets: Leeds City Centre
Traditionally a Middle Eastern themed café, this place provides some of the best unheard-of dishes; all while you wait. Specialising in their falafel and chicken dishes, ask any of the staff members and they’ll explain all about the food, what goes in it and even where the produce was made. This café is also suitable for vegans, so if you want to try some North America / Middle Eastern street food freshly prepared, this is the place for you.
Belgrave Music Hall –
Despite the name, this place cooks up more than just jazz bands. Traditionally known for their vegan friendly menu and hosting the renowned Leeds Vegan Festival’s, this place also caters for all ages as well as intolerances. From gluten free cheesy chips, to the more traditional wheat free burgers; if there’s ever been a food you fancy but can’t have, Belgrave is the place to be. Open 11am till 12am most days, pop in and see what you fancy.
