Maintaining a vegetarian diet whilst pregnant.


It is believed by many that eating a plant-based diet isn’t healthy, as you can’t get all the protein and nutrients you need. I sat down with Yasmin Johal to discuss how she managed to stay vegetarian while being pregnant.

During pregnancy it is very important to stay healthy and eat correctly, so that your baby gets the right nutrients needed for growth. This raises a question: if you can’t normally get all the protein and nutrients that you as an individual need from being vegetarian, how are you meant to have enough to grow another human inside you?
