Becoming a vegetarian was a little overwhelming for me. I thought, “there’s no way I’m going to be able to give up meat..” Well. Look at me now. It has been two months since I ate a cheese burger and, honestly, I haven’t missed it.
Now, I eat Quorn, salads and ASDA’s Vegetarian meals. I brought myself a ready meal for a quick and easy dinner, I went for a vegetarian cauliflower macaroni cheese. At first I was skeptical, and once I had opened the packet was even more so by the sight of it. However, once it had cooked, been stirred and been placed in a bowl it ended up being rather nice.
I enjoyed the creamy texture of the cauliflower and the soft chewiness of the macaroni. The contrast of the textures was interesting and when the cheesy sauce was soaked up by a piece of crusty bread, it was to die for.
The prices vary, but they have many options that can save you money. Making it a perfect, quick and easy meal for students and those who struggle a little to find food at reasonable prices.
Although, ASDA has had vegetarian options in the past, they have been a little tasteless in my opinion. But, hopefully, the new range of vegetarian meals will tickle the public's taste buds.
